Maya turns 2
She was our nurse with Maya. She is an amazing lady. She made things bearable as they could be under the circumstances.
Tuesday was the due date for our little one. I had had some contractions with patterns early Tuesday morning but no such luck on the doing anything other than hurting. Our Dr. suggested that since I was 40 weeks we should do a non-stress test to make sure everything was okay. Lindsay was watching Maya, so I had time and thought it sounded better than coming back in the next day. Needless to say, the test he did alright on, but according to the Dr. he did not pass with the flying colors. We then did a test to make sure his fluid levels were okay. To which they were great. After doing that test, we did another test to check for certain criteria because of not doing great on the non-stress test. On this he did okay again but not great. I was put in a room to wait for my Dr. to come and talk to me. To this I knew was not a good sign because we had already had our consultation earlier that morning. Dr. Sharp told me we had two options: C-section today, or repeat test tomorrow. I had really wanted to avoid the c-section and he knew that. I asked for his professional advise taking my want out of the equation. It was the choice of c-section that he responded with. He then called Aaron to talk to him on what we had discussed and why it would be beneficial at this time to go ahead with the c-section.

Aaron, left work and headed in to be with me. Meanwhile I made calls and arranged for Maya to be taken care of until Aaron would get to her later in the evening. I checked in to the Labor and Delivery around 3:40, we were suppose to be taken into surgery at 5 pm, but due to a very active L&D we were not taken until around 6. Tim my really good friend came up to help Aaron give me a blessing. All turned out well. My s-section was not the way I wanted to go, but as the Dr. was operating he informed me that they could see Brayden through the uterus. To which he said I picked the correct way to go. If I had gone for the vbac I could have ruptured the uterus and both of us died. Needless to say, we are both safe and sound.

14 Days and counting
It is hard to think that we are only 14 days from possibly meeting our little boy. He is still unofficially nameless as we have not nailed that down. We know the middle name, but are still discussing the first name. With Maya I went into labor 2 days prior to her birth, and am really hoping to cut the time down this time.
Things to remember about this pregnancy:
*Did not gain the weight like I did with Maya. To date only16 pounds.
*Left side of body constantly hurts.
*All of his movements are in my lower left quadrant.
*He is most active at night time, or as I am trying to get to sleep
*Aaron loves holding the baby and my tummy. ( I don't let him very often as he always touches my suppose to be inny that is an outy)
*I have been much more active this time, and it has paid off. I feel better in general.
*Maya points to my tummy and says "baby". It is really cute, although she has no idea what is about to happen.
*Cravings have been Mozzarella sticks and anything fried. Also a lot of Hershey's Almond bars.
*Traveling in the car is more uncomfortable
*I am smaller, but feel bigger.
Due Date November 3. Keep us in your prayers, we really are willing to meet the little one a little early.

32 and still young at heart
He is Maya's favorite each night as she has spent the day with me, and looks forward each night to her tickle adventures. We are so lucky to have him in our lives. Love Kalle and Maya!

As of lately
We have been kind of lazy lately. I haven't broken out the camera at all. This doesn't mean we haven't done anything though, as we have. Maya is 23 months old. This is really hard to believe. She is learning so much, and has so much personality that shines through. She amazes me in what she does know.
Last Monday my Dad had his second knee replacement. Maya and I went in to visit and stay with them for 2 days at Malee's condo. What a world of difference this knee replacement has been compared to 4 years ago. He really did look good this time, all things considered. He acts and feels good also. Last time, he chose to go cold turkey off the medicine after 2 days. He said it made him sick. So you can imagine the outcome. We had a great time with them as we always do. Maya walks around asking for "grampapa, and grama". Then we have to go through and tell her that they are at home and we will see them in 2 more weeks.
While in visiting my parents I went to Primary Children's Medical Center for my final check up before our baby is due. When we were there in June, it was discovered that the velocity of blood flow through my valves was higher that they would have liked it. So as a precaution I was asked to come back at 36 weeks. Well Dr. Yetman passed me with flying colors. When it was measured this time, it was the same, so there is no concern. She had worried that as the baby grew so would more velocity of blood. This was not the case. Rob my brother on the other hand was told that he has an enlarged Aorta. So he has to be watched more closely. Our appointments were an hour apart, so my Mother was their for both. She came to every appointment with me until I got married. It was nice to have her there again. She can always think of questions that don't occur to me. While there we all have blood drawn to be part of a genetic study. The study is being done to see what gene genetic defects in on. I hope that sometime in the future it is discovered. My family is the perfect candidate, as there are two of us who were lucky enough to end up with it.
Saturday Aaron tilled down the garden. We have had so much fun this year doing our garden. Maya has been right there with us the whole time. This was no exception on Saturday morning. She would carry individual corn stalks to where we were piling them. I wish that I would have had my camera for this. It is hard to believe that October is upon us, and we will have to wait until Spring to have gardening fun again. Some of my favorites of our Gardening experience this year are:
* Maya always finding her way to the water spout and getting totally soaked
* Maya being afraid to step over the garden hose and crying until we rescued her
* Discovering many green tomatoes found their way into our ripe bag
* My personal corn helper, she carried them one by one to the basket saying "cooorn" the entire time. Also helping us shuck them when home.
* Talking with our neighbor gardeners and just enjoying life
* Maya's excitement to go to the garden anytime we mentioned it.
* Last but not least discovering how dirty Maya would get, but insist that you wipe off her hands. She is slightly OCD.
In a final note, we haven't said much this time about the pregnancy. We have 4 weeks from today until my due date. Time seems to fly. For those who don't know it is a little boy. So if you have any suggestions on boy names let me know. We have had a hard time coming up with one we liked. We are getting excited as the time draws closer. This pregnancy like Maya's has been relitively easy. No complaints other than the lack of energy. Also we started potty training Maya yesterday, we only went through 7 or 8 underwear. Hopefully today is much more productive.

When mommy is not paying attention
So I was busy updating my blog this morning. Maya was quiet, which should have been my first
clue. To no avail I was hurrying so I could get back to her. She came in and told be her hands were dirty in her own words. This is what I found. Needless to say she found the markers. They are now out of reach.

Fun at the Fair
We went to the Eastern Idaho State Fair this weekend. That was our entire reason for going home. We like it much more than the Utah State Fair. We had so much fun, ate sooooo much good food, and saw all the animals. At one time the only reason I went to the fair was for the rides, now it is the food and animals. Maya loved the animals. She wanted to touch all of them.
